Bull Durham (1988)

Master of the sports comedy Ron Shelton drew on his own experience playing minor league baseball while landing major league hotties to craft his legendary baseball flick Bull Durham (1988). Chock full of baseball lessons disguised as life lessons and life lessons disguised as baseball lessons, a young Kevin Costner stars as Durham Bulls catcher Crash Davis, an aging player who has been in the minor leagues for ages. After kicking around AAA ball for a while, he's sent to the lousy Durham Bulls to babysit the young hotshot pitcher Ebby Calvin "Nuke" Laloosh (Tim Robbins), who has more juice in his arm than his head. He's supposed to groom the kid for MLB stardom, but when both players fall for busty baseball groupie Annie Savoy (Susan Sarando), who takes on a new player every season to be her designated hitter, the two butt heads. There are hilarious meetings on the mound, brilliant spoofs of player interview fodder, and even some sexy rolls in the hay that'll put pine tar on your bat in this sneaky rom-com that looks like a sports flick. One of the most beloved baseball movies of all time, this one came out one year before Costner starred in Field of Dreams (1989). But that daddy issue tearjerker didn't have the girls of your dreams showing skin like this one does! If the youngsters out there need extra motivation to field some more grounders and take some more BP, they can find it in the T&A our Minor League ballplayers have at their disposal. At one point, Tim Robbins is in the bathroom before a game and the gorgeous blonde Jenny Robertson is in there with him, in nothing but a bra and panties. No bull, that's one hot blonde! But that groupie is nothing compared to Susan Sarandon, whose legendary rack and ass we see as she's banging Costner in the tub, on the floor, and having a smoke in her kitchen.
