Brüno (2009)

Sacha Baron Cohen is to big screen satire what Mr. Skin is to nudity in movies — both are experts! After making us laugh in Ali G Indahouse (2002) and Talladega Nights: The Ballad of Ricky Bobby (2006), the British actor, comedian and screenwriter found critical acclaim in the mockumentaries Borat (2006) and Borat Subsequent Moviefilm (2020). Picking up on this success, Sacha used the same amusing format for the R rated romp Brüno (2009). As the title character, Cohen portrays a gay Austrian fashion journalist. Throughout the course of the story, Brüno Gehard (Cohen) attempts to seduce a 2008 presidential candidate, adopts an African baby, makes a television pilot, and goes on a hunting trip. Yet his most outlandish goal comes when he tries his hand at being straight. Needless to say, hijinks and bare boobs ensue! That is, Brüno goes to a swinger’s party where he’s flogged by a naked dominatrix (Michelle McLaren). During the kinky act, we are treated to views of Ms. McLaren’s nude booty, bald beaver, and 40EE knockers as she whips the bent dude into shape. In other words, Michelle puts the motion into this motion picture. As a result, the funny and flesh-flashing flick was a box office smash as well as a spank bank hit! The movie also includes cameos by musical stars Bono, Elton John, Paul McCartney, Paula Abdul, Slash, Snoop Dogg, Sting, and model Brittny Gastineau. Even though the comedy contains plenty of A-listers, Mr. Skin is more into the pic’s T&A!
