Review

Break out the cardboard, laying it out flat on the corner of the block and get ready to follow in the footsteps of the American counterpart dance flicks like Step Up (2006), Honey (2003), and maybe add in a skosh of Save the Last Dance (2001), except we jump into the streets of Paris, France for Break (2018).  In this hip-hop dance extravaganza we follow a talented and classically trained dancer, Lucie (Sabrina Ouazani), who suffers a horrific accident at the beginning of the film and ends up in a coma.  When she comes out of the long coma, she needs to pick up the pieces of not just re-learning everything about dance, but also rehabbing her body to get back into dancing shape.  She decides to partner up with a rough and tumble hip-hop dancer to get back into competitions and his style is definitely different than her doing the twirly whirly on a stage in front of the upper crust of Paris.  She not only has to face these new problems stemming from her accident, she also begins to look for her estranged father but that leads her and her new dance partner down a path that could lead them to grow even closer than just gently grinding crotches together while fully clothed on the dance floor.  Lucky for us though, the stunning Sabrina Ouazani gives us a slight glimpse of her amazing body in her undies in a few scenes, showing off that dancers like her need no pants, but alas there is no nudity in this one!
