Pink, pouty, and protuberantly stacked, Bernadette Peters is one of the gleaming lights of the Great White Way. She got her first gig in the business called show as a five-year-old performer on Horn and Hardart's kiddie-talent radio program and, by age eleven, was appearing on Broadway in Most Happy Fella. This pint-sized, red-headed, ultra-curvy cutie has been making fellas moist happy ever since. Bernadette was almost typecast as the squeaky-voiced dumb blonde with her successful run in the stage smash Dames at Sea, prompting her to try some TV gigs in the '70s. Ultimately Bernadette's greatest fame came from co-starring opposite funnyman Steve Martin in the one-of-a-kind comedy classic The Jerk (1977). As sexy as Bernadette is, she's not been quick to slip out of her girlishly tempting outfits. The sole time she offered up some skin time was a brief bit of breast in Pink Cadillac (1986). We'd like to see more of her pink caddies, but in the meantime she continues with the provocative roles, most recently playing a stripper's mom in the Broadway revival of Gypsy. Bernadette, you burn us up!
