Barrio Wars (2002)

Paul Wynne reinterprets William Shakespeare's Romeo and Juliet in Barrio Wars (2002), the tragic tale of a pair of gangland lovers and the cruel fate that gangs up on them. Sevier Crespo and Luchana Gatica are crazy in love despite the rules of the barrio—dating someone in a rival gang is a huge, huge no-no.
