A would-be actress falls under the spell of a crooked con artist in the rags-to-riches-to-rags drama Down the Barrel (2003). Tara Price stars as Sara Caldwell, a naïve teenager with dreams of hitting it big in Hollywood. It isn’t long before street-smart J.C. (Matthew Grant) and his drug-addicted sidekick (Luke Perry) get their hooks into the sweet-natured gal, whispering in her ear about her insatiable star power. Their impossible promises serve as preparation for a series of rough-and-tumble life lessons, but Caldwell takes it like a champ, even when her new friends drag her to a striptease performance. Don’t miss exotic dancer Jade as she gives a pole dance that’s pretty near unforgettable.
