Shooting star of salacious cinema Michelle Carpenter was as breathtakingly beautiful as the Utah lake from which she took her stage name, Arcadia Lake. She began her career in blue movies after hooking up with legendary porn star Eric Edwards, who helped her get unhooked from drugs. One of the bright stars of triple X flicks in the 1970s and ’80s, Arcadia made her mark--and fans made marks in their drawers--in such legendary sin-ematic fare as Debbie Does Dallas (1978), Babylon Pink (1979), and Summertime Blue (1979). Sadly, she once again fell prey to substance abuse and tragically passed away from an overdose in 1990. But the good news is that fans can enjoy her work forever--just pop in a movie, sit back, and dive into Lake.
