Apostles (2022)

A scholar facing the end of his life who claims to be an apostle of Greek philosophers Socrates and Plato recruits twelve young men to join him and his wife to discuss death while also engaging in physical challenges that evoke famous mythological stories and some steamy sexual activities. This is the 8th film by Hong Kong director Danny Cheng Wan-Cheung, otherwise known as Scud, who has a proclivity for showcasing male nudity throughout his work, and Apostles is chock full of it! But it’s not just the men of Apostles who are au naturale. Ching-man Chin gets undressed by a naked man as another couple watches them make out and she shows her boobs and butt again while playing a game by the ocean with an equally nude Fiona Wang. The real question is how do we get on the invite list?
