Like many Canadian actresses, Andrea Roth got her start in mundane made-for-TV projects. These include shows like C.B.C.'s Magic Hour, P.S.I. Luv U, Parker Lewis Can't Lose, and Rin Tin Tin: K-9 Cop, and movies like The Good Fight (1992), In Spite of Love (1994), and A Change of Place (1994). She caught a major break, though, when Sally Field went after Andrea to play her daughter in the popular mini-series A Woman of Independent Means (1995).
