Alice (2019)

So many films have been titled Alice that it's hard to differentiate. What is it about Alice (2019) that makes it any different from the countless other films and television programs you've seen with the same exact title? Well, unlike a certain television waitress or girl taking psychedelics, this Alice is a French gal played by Emilie Piponnier, and she has some real life problems, y'all. Alice thinks her world is perfect, but one day, her husband up and disappears with all of their money, leaving her with a son, a mortgage, and a heap of financial problems that are only going to start compounding. Out of options, not that she had a great many to begin with, Alice becomes a high price call girl. We get some nice shots of her in a bra in the film's first 45 minutes. An hour and four minutes in, we get an extended sex scene where we first see her on the bed lying on her stomach showing pressed left sideboob! After the guy is done with his crazy crying sex Emilie Piponnier finally rolls on her side and we see her breasts! Now that's the kind of trip through the looking glass we'd love to take with Alice any day of the week. I know we did all that work earlier to set this up as a different kind of Alice, so it's probably not great to go back and do that here in the home stretch. If you think so, you can just kiss my grits!
