A Stand Up Guy (2016)

A Stand Up Guy (2016) is a comedy about finding out that something you love can kill you. Sammy (Danny A Abeckaser) is a low level mobster just trying to make a living. When he finds out his fellow mobsters are planning to kill him he goes to the police, testifies against them, and goes into witness protection. While living in a small town in Wisconsin he accepts a dare and ends up doing a stand-up comedy routine at an open mic club. He has fun and does very well. So well, in fact, a video of his act goes viral online and soon his fellow mobsters are on their way and they aren’t laughing.
