The Heartbreak Kid (2007)

Based on a short story by Bruce Jay Friedman and a remake of the 1972 Neil Simon adaptation directed by Elaine May, The Heartbreak Kid (2007) is actually an improvement on a classic comedy. The story about a newlywed who immediately regrets his decision and falls hopelessly in love with another is just as funny as ever, but now it’s been improved with skin from Malin Akerman and Kayla Kleevage. Ben Stiller is Eddie Cantrow, a single fella from San Francisco who thinks he hits the jackpot when the blonde goddess Lila (Malin Ackerman) starts flirting with him, starts dating him, and even agrees to marry him since they're apparently a great couple and getting married means her job doesn't send her overseas. But on the honeymoon, Eddie both finds out all sorts of secrets about his new bride and a ton of annoying or gross things she does that he can't stand. Worse, he falls in love with an awesome woman on vacation with her family (Michelle Monaghan). She's not cool with dating a married man, so our poor protagonist tries to pull of the switcheroo in secret, and all sorts of hijinks ensue. The Farrelly brothers were at the helm of this one, so expect way more gross out gags than in the 1972 film, including a legendary one where Malin puts on a merkin and pretends to pee on a jellyfish sting. We hate to break your hard on's heart by telling it that Michelle Monaghan doesn't get naked, she only does a bit of bikini work, but it's the truth. No kidding. But we do get to see porn starlet Kayla Kleevage floating her enormous funbags in the hot tub with Jerry Stiller. Even better than that is the opportunity to see Malin's mams once more, during some terrible sex with Ben where Lila's so aggressive she almost breaks his boner, then starts beating him up while riding him. Maybe Eddie Cantrow can't handle a hardcore, horny hottie like Lila but Mr. Skin would be happy to take her off his hands after watching The Heartbreak Kid.
