9th Company (2005)

9-ya rota (2005) depicts the cost in lives and spirit of the bloody, ultimately futile war waged by the Soviet Union against Afghanistan in the late 1970s. Our heroes are the down-and-dirty grunts of the 9th Company. They resent being shipped to a hostile nation on behalf of uncaring politicians, but they'll do what they have to to defend Hill 3234—and to keep one another alive. The combat action is realistic and brutal, making the message loud and clear: War is a madman's game with no winners. Skin fans, in the meantime, will go mad for naked Irina Rakhmanova.
