52 Pick-Up (1986)

If John Frankenheimer’s 52 Pick-Up (1986) seems familiar it’s because the Elmore Leonard story was already made into the thriller The Ambassador (1984) with Robert Mitchum, Ellen Burstyn, and Rock Hudson just a couple of years before. This time around, the action flick stars Roy Scheider as Harry Mitchell, the husband of a city council hopeful caught (literally) with his pants down. Harry is blackmailed by a porn king and when he doesn’t pay up, his sexy mistress (Kelly Preston) is offed. Of course, Mitchell can’t go public and smear the campaign of his wife (played by the always hot Ann-Margret) so he takes the law into his own hands. As you can guess, gunfire and car chases ensue. Along the way, Ms. Preston is tied topless to a chair and shot — with a camera. The hostage video is sent to Harry. It’s all very frightening, which explains why he’s scared stiff. We also got stiff when seeing footage of the blonde’s naked T&A. Equally erotic is the coverage of Doreen (Vanity) in her black lace lingerie. As an exotic dancer, she gives a lingering striptease for Harry as he take polaroids of her nude boobs. Looks like she’s over-exposed! If that’s not titillating enough, party goers (Sharon Mitchell, Jamie Gillis and Amber Lynn) flash their collective flesh at a sex-filled soiree. The latter lady also reveals her rack and rump in a skin flick within this pic. Needless to say, 52 Pick-Up (1986) will pick you up in your pants!
