24 Exposures (2013)

Artsy photographer Billy (Adam Wingard) uses the art of photography to feed his fetish in mumblecore master Joe Swanberg's crime thriller 24 Exposures (2013). You see, Billy works as a crime scene photographer who photographs murders for a living. But what's really Billy's passion is his art. See, Billy likes to use those true crime pictures as inspiration for his artsy portraits depicting nude or partially nude female corpses for the fellas with a seriously weird kink. One day, Billy’s live-in girlfriend and assistant Alex (Caroline White) amps up a photo shoot when she and Bill engage in a threesome with one of his models, Callie (Sophia Takal). Billy’s not a stupid guy—he chooses models based on his sexual attraction to them, which causes some trouble in his relationship when he engages in some after-hours fun with his new muse, Rebecca (Helen Rogers) without getting Callie involved in the action. But when young women who look just like Billy’s models start turning up dead, depressed cop Michael (Simon Barrett) starts poking his nose around. Is Billy involved in the crimes, or just taking the post-murder pictures?
