You might think that a film titled You Can't Escape Lithuania (2016) is nothing more than a feature length tourism ad for everyone's favorite Baltic state, but it's actually an intense crime drama. That's not to say that it couldn't be used as part of Lithuania's tourism campaign, provided they even have one, but it was never intended as a piece of Lithuanian tourism propaganda. Irina Lavrinovic stars as Indre, the lead actress in an upcoming film whose entire production is thrown into jeopardy when she suddenly and shockingly murders her mother. The film's director Romas (Denisas Kolomyckis) and his Mexican boyfriend Carlos (Adrian Escobar) then hatch a plan to not only get Indre out of the country but also to salvage the project by making a film along the way. Of course, one need only look at the film's title to know that they're probably not headed for a happy ending, but it's the journey, not the destination that makes up the heart of You Can't Escape Lithuania. In fact, the film's meta-conceit is such that the writing and directing credits on the film go to the fictional character Romas, played by Denisas Kolomyckis. It's like an onion, there's so many layers. Speaking of layers, the gorgeous Irina Lavrinovic strips off hers 26 minutes in to go for a naked walk in the woods, baring her breasts! Fifty minutes later, she shows some terrific T&A while getting banged by a guy against a tree! Hell, with nudity this great, who's even WANT to escape Lithuania?
