Winnetou ou le Mascalero

Fear not, this wasn’t a Mexican soap opera. Winnetou ou le Mascalero was a series in New France, as Canada was called when first settled by the French. Set amid a wilderness background full of beaver pelts and hostile natives, this long forgotten1980 series is noteworthy for having starred Elpidia Carillo as the native-Canadian girl Wetatoni. While Elpidia’s name may not roll off the tongue, we’d like to roll our tongue along her! This petite and gorgeous Mexican actress has appeared in a slew of popular American films like Predator and The Border and doesn’t seem to fear getting naked in front of the camera. She gave us a tantalizing view of her immaculate tamales in Beyond the Limit, followed by a bout of hammock sex with James Woods in Salvador. More recently, she appeared briefly in the George Clooney film Solaris.
