A woman named Iris suffers through the ordeal of her husband committing suicide, and takes her teenage son with her to move into her mother’s place in the film Wild Iris (2001). Her mother isn’t making the situation any easier by constantly bothering her, so Iris resolves to hide herself in an alcoholic haze. Her son is caught between the two battling women. As the dynamics between the two warring ladies wages on, the question that gets presented is whether or not Iris’s mother had any influence on the husband’s suicide. The ultimate focus is on the son, and how he’s shaped through this situation. Playing Iris is Laura Linney, who stays relatively clothed throughout most of the movie, but on occasion you can catch her in some sexy situations in the shower, in the sack, and while driving around in only her underwear. Linney can linger in her underwear as much as she wants!
