Bloodline: The Sibling Rivalry (2005)

Close-knit brothers find themselves on opposite sides of the law in the gritty urban drama Bloodline: The Sibling Rivalry (2005). Director Antwan Smith follows the coming-of-age stories of brothers Nate and Marcus, African-American youths who learn about life the hard way, on the streets of South Florida. After saving his brother’s life in a knife fight, Marcus disappears for nearly a decade to pursue a career in law enforcement. When he next meets his brother, it’s on an assignment to bring down his drug-dealing operation. Smith’s film is largely about the ties that bind family, but he also carves out time for reveals by gang bunnies Rosi Zebyan, Jokisha Brown, Chessika Cartwright, and Karin T. Farfan.
