Waterworld (1995) is wet. All wet. Wet, wet, wet. That's because, after some kind of apocalypse, Earth as We Once Knew It disappeared and was replaced by a globe entirely covered by oceans. And upon these ceaseless seas, Kevin Costner, as The Mariner, sails about in search of a mythical mass of dry land called, appropriately, Dry Land. Along the way he picks up drifters Jeanne Tripplehorn and some little kid, while Dennis Hopper's tobacco-fueled pirates known as The Smokers complicate the journey.
