Take a smoking-hot actress, plop her in fake glasses and braces, mess up her eyebrows, and what do you get? The adorable America Ferrera in disguise as the dumpy, titular Ugly Betty, a fish-out-of-water editorial hopeful at a glamorous New York fashion rag. Based on the Colombian telenovela Yo Soy Betty, la fea, whose version of Betty was legitimately hideous, ABC trotted out their adaptation in 2006 where it lasted for four seasons. America plays Betty Suarez, an awkward goof from Queens, NY who is sexually unappealing enough that publishing magnate Bradford Meade (Alan Dale) thinks she'd make a great assistant for his son, the hornball who has pulled down his pants for every other assistant he's hired, Daniel (Eric Mabius). Daniel runs the high end fashion magazine Mode, where Betty decidedly doesn't fit in and finds herself struggling with the new gig. While Daniel doesn't immediately try to give her the D, eventually the two grow close as they do battle against the villainous Wilhelmina Slater (Vanessa Williams) who is out to take Daniel's job from him. Being in fashion, Betty knows all sorts of gorgeous women, so viewers got their weekly dose of flesh via comely costars like a corset clad Adriana Lima, a short skirt wearing Lindsay Lohan, a naughty nurse costume adorned Becki Newton, Jamie-Lynn Sigler in a bikini, Vanessa Williams lying in bed covered only by the sheets, Rebecca Romijn undressing to her underwear, and more. Salma Hayek even popped up (and out) to bust out some rackulous cleavage on a very mam-orable episode! The makeup guys did their best to make Betty not do-able, but failed mightily. Seeing her unzip her top and flash her bra to a man in a bar, or seeing when the mean high school girls tore off her pants to show her granny panty covered ass, you know damn well you'd be more than happy to bump uglies with Ugly Betty!
