Legendary director Jesus Franco is not necessarily known for his camp classics, but Two Undercover Angels (1969) manages to fuse his love of skin, gore, and crime thrillers into one attractive package. First off, the movie follows two private eyes called Red Lips, sexy female detectives on the case of missing models. There’s also a satire of pop art in the character of Klaus Thriller and his werewolf-like assistant Morpho, who are the main suspects of the murders. It’s like Scooby-Doo meets Charlie’s Angels, but better--with skin!
