Two of Us (2020)

For a pair of Parisian pensioners, Nina (Barbara Sukowa) and Madeleine (Martine Chevallier), their love couldn't be any truer or deeper between each other.  They are passionate in the bedroom, they have plans of moving to Italy to live our the rest of their days on the Mediterranean Sea, and they look out for one another at every level.  The only problem for these two mature lesbians is that no one else in their world knows that they are a couple, their adult children, friends, and acquaintances just think that they are neighbors on the top floor of an apartment building.  The pair have kept their relationship hidden from everyone for decades and have just moved freely between their apartments.  When Madeleine suffers a serious medical issue and needs constant care, their world is thrown into upheaval.  Madeleine's daughter doesn't understand why her mother's neighbor is coming and going from her apartment, why she cares so much and wants to provide help, and also why she is so upset about the situation overall!  It's because she has never been aware that Nina and Madeleine are so much more than just neighbors and things begin to come into focus one morning when she finds that Nina has snuck into bed with her mom and spooned with her overnight!  This is a heart-wrenching tale of late in life love, loss, and revealing truths that was nominated for the 2021 Golden Globes award for Best Motion Picture - Foreign Language.  Two of Us aka Deux might not have tons of skin in it, but you can definitely sense to palpable sexual energy between Barbara Sukowa and Martine Chevallier when they make out to open the movie!
