Toni Braxton is a tiny five-feet-two-inches tall, but she has a giant voice and a booming body. The doe-eyed black beauty first made a name for herself when Kenneth “Babyface” Edmonds and Antonio “L.A." Reid of LaFace Records put her lungs on the charts with “Another Sad Love Song” in 1993. Toni’s father is a preacher, and she was brought up in a deeply religious home. So she did what any sexy girl would do . . . rebelled. That meant scantily clad outfits that dripped off her chocolate scoops like butterscotch and were twice as sweet. Her videos, like “Spanish Guitar” off her 2000 comeback album The Heat, are as hot as a dressed woman can get. While she’s struck many a revealing pose for magazines, Toni has been surprisingly skingy onscreen. But she has not been given a chance to spread her wings yet, with her only real film outing being Kingdom Come (2001) with L.L. Cool J, Jada Pinkett Smith, and Vivica A. Fox. Viewers will come like a king when Toni finally lets those skimpy dresses drop.
