Thomasin McKenzie is a redheaded beauty who hails from Wellington, New Zealand. The petite, smiling babe with a lean figure began her acting career when she was only 12 years old with her debut in the New Zealand post-apocalyptic drama Existence (2012). From there she appeared as Astrid in The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies (2014) and starred as Pixie Hannah on 28 episodes of the New Zealand soap Shortland Street. In 2017 Thomasin made her return to the big screen with The Changeover, playing Rose Keaton in this supernatural thriller. Alas, New Zealand was too small for this burgeoning talent, so Thomasin was cast in the Portland-set survival drama Leave No Trace (2018). Seventeen-year-old Thomasin received rave reviews for her performance in this film, which currently owns a 100 percent approval rating on Rotten Tomatoes. She left no trace of nudity in her grown-up roles as Queen Philippa of Denmark in The King (2019) and as Jew-in-hiding Elsa in Jojo Rabbit (2019), but this changed in the Australian western True History of the Kelly Gang (2019).
