The Staircase (2022)

The Staircase is a 2022 HBO miniseries based on the 13-part true crime documentary series of the same name. The series chronicles the mysterious death of Kathleen Peterson (Toni Collette) and the suspicion surrounding her husband, crime novelist Michael Peterson (Colin Firth). The web of lies exposed by the case unravels the family entirely and this series attempts to dig into the circumstances leading up to Kathleen's death (she was found dead by Michael at the bottom of a staircase, hence the title) and this adaptation really gets into the nitty gritty... literally! That's right, in the third episode we're treated to some good old fashioned ass eating as Colin Firth buries his nose in Toni Collette's ass in the kitchen! The first episode also features some full frontal from Collette as they conduct a forensic exam of her body! Come for the true crime intrigue, stay for the ass eating!
