The Informant (2013)

The French crime thriller The Informant (2013) tells the true story of a man who is blackmailed by the government into helping them bust up an international drug smuggling ring. An ordinary man is framed by customs and must now work as a border patrol agent in hopes that he will be able to net some major criminals. The film shows how the government has always used dubious tactics to catch what they feel to be are the real criminals, and it blurs the lines between the good guys and the bad guys. Melanie Burnier plays the man's long suffering wife, and in one scintillating scene, she finally gets her comeuppance, so to speak!
