The Burning Plain (2008)

It’s no surprise The Burning Plain (2009) will fire fans up since it features three of the screen’s hottest stars: Charlize Theron, Jennifer Lawrence, and Kim Basinger! In the tradition of the similarly-titled films The Burning (1981), The Burning Moon (1997) and Burning Desires (2002), this pic includes its fair share of sizzling scenes. The R rated drama follows Sylvia (Theron) who runs a Mexican restaurant in Oregon. One of the perks she offers the poor Latinos in her employ is sex. That’s right — sex with Charlize Theron! Yet after each partner orgasms, Sylvia feels guilty and cuts herself. Cut to flashbacks of Mariana (Lawrence) and Gina (Basinger) in a small town in New Mexico. As you would expect, the setting is mucho caliente since we’re treated to views of Gina’s nude glutes when she’s bedding a fellow. But before you get all excited about seeing Kim’s caboose, we must tell you those bodacious buns actually belong to her body double. Luckily, Charlize really shares her skin with us. Right from the start, the statuesque stunner struts her stuff in the buff when she gets up to smoke a cigarette. As she puffs away, we get to enjoy her bare back, tight tush and nude boobs! Later, she drops a towel and throws on a robe, not bothering to fasten it as she attempts to seduce a dude with her ravishing rack. Despite this fact, the flick was a critical and commercial flop. Apparently, a box office bomb stands for bombshell!
