The Canadian drama The Apprentice (1971) features Steve Fiset and Susan Sarandon in the story of a French Canadian man whose involvement in the criminal underworld is put in doubt after he meets and falls for a beautiful English girl. When he tries to break up with his old girlfriend, whose brother is his partner in crime, she refuses to let him go.
