The Amityville Curse (2023)

A remake of the 1990 film which itself is an adaptation of the Hans Holzer novel of the same name, this Tubi original horror centers on a group of friends who decide to fix up an old house built on an ancient Native American burial ground and try to flip it because they all seem to be in financial straits. Lucy (Jenny Raven) is the only one interested in the history of the house and listens to podcasts about its past, including one called Haunted Holloway. Although everyone but Billie (Mercedes Morris) claims to be open to the idea of ghosts, no one seems to be convinced about the house being haunted despite everything that begins to unfold. Ben Holloway (Kenny Wong) of the aforementioned podcast shows up, as does a reverend who thinks the soil under the house has been contaminated by Satanic rituals and a ghostbusting doctor - not to mention the fact that MANY OF THEM DIE - and still it never occurs to anyone to just leave the damn house. But then I guess if they had, we wouldn’t have gotten to see Tommie-Amber Pirie slip a nip during a sex fantasy through the magic of Skin Vision! If anything can be considered a blessing, it's that!
