It’s fifteenth-century France and young lawyer Colin Firth--playing the title role in The Advocate (1993)--ditches Paris for the country life. It’s a simpler place filled with simpler minds, which is how he finds himself representing a pig that’s been accused of murder. But judging from the hassles this film got over excessive nudity, you’d think the pig was on trial for making a porn film. An incredible cast of saucy wenches is seen enjoying the earthy good life throughout this production. The MPAA, naturally, responded by advocating for the dreaded NC-17 rating. The film was cut to be released with an R, but we’ve got all the original skin from Lysette Anthony, Harriet Walter, Melissa Wilkes, Amina Annabi, and Sophie Dix!
