Director Luis Buñuel is one of the great surrealist filmmakers. He'll have you scratching both your heads when watching his last movie, That Obscure Object of Desire (1977). He used two actresses to play the same role at the same age. Some may claim it confusing, but Mr. Skin says it's twice the tail! Carole Bouquet plays the character in France, while Ángela Molina takes over the part when in Spain. The girl in France wears tiny underpants and no top for some fine looks at her cork-popping jugs. The rain in Spain never gets a chance to fall anywhere near Ángela, who's dry inside for a full-frontal Flamenco dance--but viewers will get wet. Nothing obscures this object of desire.
