Tanner Hall (2009)

Think all-girls boarding schools are only good for topless pillow fights and communal showers? Well, they are good for that, but they’re also good for self-discovery in the indie drama Tanner Hall (2009). Rooney Mara stars as Fernanda, a wealthy boarding school student whose life is shaken up when her childhood acquaintance, trouble-maker Victoria (Georgia King), appears at posh Tanner Hall. But Fernanda is more than capable of getting into trouble on her own- just check out her totally inappropriate relationship with older man Gio (Tom Everett Scott). Amy Sedaris gives us a rare panty flash as a mischievous teacher, and Brie Larson gets hot teasing a male educator in the shower and in a sexy Eve costume. You can get a fantastic look at Brie's boobs and panties at the 49-minute mark when Chris Kattan has a vision of her on the side of the road while he's driving. Her hair just barely covers her breasts for most of the scene, but there is a flash of nip! Plus, Rooney Mara strips to her bra making out with her man, and Georgia King and Amy Ferguson get maddeningly close to nude taking a lesbionic bubble bath. Overall, Tanner Hall plays like a very interesting puzzle delivered to the audience in pieces that are almost too disconnected to fully understand. Nevertheless, it is an entertaining vehicle for some very talented actors to flex their acting chops. It's just too bad there's not more nudity! Don't worry though, Tanner Hall will make you stand tall (in your pants, of course).
