From the heartland to the hearts of some of Hollywood’s biggest names, Suzy Amis has had a hell of an interesting ride in the entertainment business. Born and raised in Oklahoma City, Suzy left after school in the early 1980’s and signed with Ford Modeling Agency. The next handful of years would see her walk runways all over the world and appear in many magazines. Her acting career kicked in when she landed her first part in the comedy Fandango (1985) costarring Kevin Costner. Over the next few years, she would land parts in movies like Blown Away (1994) The Usual Suspects (1995) and Titanic (1997) where she played the granddaughter of Kate Winslet’s Rose. In the mid-1980’s she married Sam Robards (son of Hollywood royalty Jason Robards and Lauren Bacall). After her divorce from him, she ended up with her Titanic director James Cameron. The two married in 2000 and have had three kids. For the most part, Suzy hasn’t acted much since the late-1990’s choosing instead to focus on her family and community. She owns a private school called Muse Elementary and enjoys the outdoors.
Luckily for us, Suzy dropped some great nudity before retiring from acting. In Where the Heart Is (1990) she appears in a play topless with paint on her knockers.
