Our Staff Picks column takes you back to a time when video stores reigned supreme and the "Staff Picks" section was the place to find out what films were worthy of one's time. Of course, our version of Staff Picks has a decidedly skintillating angle, as we suss out which films from a particular subgenre are the best to find great nudity. This week let's cover one of the best kinds of films to watch in September: College Movies.
Everyone has been back in school for a few weeks now, so I was feeling nostalgic for that early fall excitement that used to come with going back to school. How do we create that best as adults? By watching hilarious and hot college movies. These films take place either on campus or with college students where their schoolwork is definitely part of the plot, but it doesn't define it. Instead, sex and nudity do!

Animal House
If I didn't include Animal House on here, then I would have been forced to hand in my Mr. Skin badge. So I decided to kick off our Staff Picks with the actual GOAT. Animal House is THE college movie. Animal House walked so everyone else could run. This film gave us toga parties, TA, and John Belushi that all made this movie a total classic.
And, boy oh boy, did we see TA. Karen Allen, Sarah Holcomb, Mary Louise Weller, and Lisa Baur all show skin as Dean Vernon Wormer tries to expel the boys from Delta Tau Chi Fraternity. Those guys are not going to go without a fight!
They pull off a series of pranks to get back at the dean in this John Landis classic. Some of their pranks involve naked chicks. No wonder this is still a fan favorite!
Goat
Now let's go from GOAT to Goat. This underrated drama is basically the opposite of Animal House. Instead of a rollicking good time filled with laughs, Goat shows us the underbelly of the college fraternity. During rush week, a 19-year-old joins his older brother's frat and thinks that he won't be subjected to as harsh of treatment as his peers. He's wrong!
What happens next is a series of hazing rituals that really test these guys' patience, loyalty, and sanity. Yikes! Luckily, the guys in this movie get some sexual relief from women like Sarah Ritter, Jenny Marie Mitchell, and Lauren Knutson who all show their breasts. You get the best views of Sarah's thanks to some sunlight!
Van Wilder: Freshman Year
If it's Van Wilder, then you know it's going to be filled with naughty, naked babes. This college film takes us through freshman year as Van Wilder mixes and mingles with a ton of sexy co-eds. One of those co-eds is Meredith Giangrande. Meredith Giangrande shows her breasts a bunch - including when she gets banged from behind.
Meredith is joined by her sisters in giving us all some sex education. Sarah Oliver shows off her HUGE hooters when she uses a vibrator to masturbate on herself. A for effort, Sarah!
Old School
Old School is a hilarious vehicle for Will Ferrell and a vehicle for sexy young actresses taking off their tops. Crass humor and drinking games is the code for success in this film about some grown men who have been out of college for years that desperately miss their college days.
They make the ultimate party house next door to a college and soon enough the raunchy co-eds come a-calling. If you build it, they will come...and so will you!
The Rules of Attraction
Did you want a college movie that is filled with sex, drugs, and drama? Then The Rules of Attraction is here for you. This 2002 adaptation of the Bret Easton Ellis novel takes place at a fictional college on the East Coast where college students are STRESSED OUT. You would be, too, if you were these kids.
From bathtub breasts from Theresa Wayman to a quick glimpse of Kate Bosworth's boobs, this movie doesn't linger on the nudity. It does, however, give us a lot to look at when it comes to Jessica Biel in her bra and panties. She officially shed her goody-two-shoes image in this movie where she plays a coke-addicted, sex-addicted, um, addict.
Pumpkin
How can I make a list of college films without mentioning the 2002 satire shot in bright, campy colors that stars Christina Ricci as a sorority girl gone rogue? I simply couldn't! Pumpkin is a very strange movie that is a delight to watch - partially because it is so visibly appealing. The colors, the cleavage. What's not to love?
The plot follows Ricci's sorority trying to earn some Greek Life honors by working with a charity. They work with special athletes and Christina finds herself falling for the athlete that she is mentoring much to the horror of her old-money family, her snooty sorority sisters, and her jock boyfriend.
Don't worry - her jock boyfriend gets back at her by sleeping with sorority girls, like Erinn Bartlett who shows her boobs in a sex montage.
Like Crazy
This 2011 romantic drama does not have explicit nudity, but it's so good and a young Felicity Jones (and Jennifer Lawrence!) is a treat in this film. This movie is totally heartwrenching, especially if you've ever been in a long-distance relationship. The plot follows two college students, an American boy played by Anton Yelchin (RIP) and a British girl studying on a student visa (Felicity), who fall totally in love.
When they graduate, she is supposed to go back to the UK, but she overstays her visa so they can have sex all the time. Who wouldn't do that? The time comes for her to go back home for a visit, but that is when they are confronted with the consequences of their actions because Felicity is not allowed back into the US.
The rest of the film shows how the two of them try to reunite, but it gets harder and harder as they both start to move on to their lives without one another. Ugh! Like I said, heartwrenching.
Kicking and Screaming
Indie darling Noah Baumbach has done it all: Frances Ha, Marriage Story, The Squid and the Whale, and script for The Life Aquatic with Steve Zissou. But where did it all begin? It all began with the 1995 Gen X comedy Kicking and Screaming.
The plot follows a group of over-educated dudes dealing with that transitional time right after you graduate from college. They definitely overstay their welcome, hanging around for a few months after they graduate because they don't want to go into adulthood. That means that they hang out with hot college girls played by Kaela Dobkin and Perrey Reeves who both go topless.
The Butterfly Effect
Is The Butterfly Effect a "good" movie? Um...can I plead the 5th? Just kidding! This movie is super watchable because it is so entertaining in just how bonkers it is. While the movie deals with the theory that changing something during time travel can cause ripple effects that you can't even imagine, we are here for the babes. Sorry, Ashton!

Pitch Perfect
