Spy City (2020)

Dominic Cooper headlines the AMC+ series Spy City, a Cold War-era series that finds the likable British actor playing a spy sent to Berlin and tasked with sniffing out a traitor in the UK Embassy just prior to the construction of the Berlin Wall in 1961. Of course, what Cooper's Fielding Scott soon finds out is that he himself is the suspected traitor and must clear his name before he's turned over to his superiors and deemed a traitor. A year prior, Scott had found himself in the middle of an information exchange in a Berlin bathroom gone bad. What was supposed to be a simple document exchange turned into a bloody fist fight, with Scott eventually killing his opponent. Only problem, that dude happened to be a British spy, casting suspicion on Scott's potential involvement with the Communists. Scott recruits an old friend of his who defected from Communist rule to the West, in hopes that he might be able to gain access to certain sensitive areas from which Scott finds himself restricted. What could possibly go wrong, other than absolutely everything in a city absolutely crawling with spies, hence the name of the series! The show got off to a fairly skinsational start with the lovely Leonie Benesch (Babylon Berlin) showing off in sexy, period appropriate under garments, while the ravishing Romane Portail (Sense8) proves quite the period PIECE when she goes topless for a steamy sex scene with Cooper! Spy City will help you spy with your private eyes, something starting with the letter B!
