We Children from Bahnhof Zoo (2021)

In this gripping adaptation to Christiane F.'s historical German book, We Children from Bahnhof Zoo aka Wir Kinder vom Bahnhof Zoo, which went on to become a hit movie as well named after the author, Christiane F. back in 1981, we follow the drug addicted titular teenager through the underbelly of 1970's Berlin.  As an aimless teenager living with her single mother, Christiane (Jana McKinnon) finds solace and a new family in the underground world of Berlin nightclubs and the party scene of the day, while worshipping David Bowie.  When she meets her new group of friends, she thinks that she is going to live in a world of hedonistic thrills, good times, and stay high as they can possibly get with no downside.  When she gets into a relationship with her drug dealer, the realities of the world she's adopted as her own start to become more and more apparent, especially when the relationships she thought we going to last forever start to fall apart.  Her friends begin to die from bad batches of heroin, her addiction spirals out of control and she begins to steal from her mom and work as a prostitute on the streets of West Berlin.  The story itself is based on real life transcripts from a young girl who lived through these experiences herself, so it's especially voyeuristic, just like the book and original movie.  Lead actress Jana McKinnon shows us a bit of skin in her undies as does her best friend, Babsi (Lea Drinda), but it's the stunning curly cutie Angelina Häntsch who comes in with the lone nudity so far on this Amazon series out of Germany!
