Oliver Stone, the most paranoid director in the history of the world, is back with his latest governmental cautionary tale Snowden (2016). Joseph Gordon-Levitt takes on the titular role as Edward Snowden, the former CIA employee and government contractor who leaked classified U.S. government information in 2013 and has spent his time since doing so seeking asylum in Russia. The film chronicles his life and the circumstances that led to him not only becoming aware of this classified information, but making the decision to leak it and inform the American people what their government truly thinks of them. Stone's films have never shied away from the more unclothed side of life for his film's subjects, but he keeps things sadly in check for most of the film's running time. We do get a few topless shots of Shailene Woodley as Snowden's girlfriend, and some supremely sexy shots of Olga Koda bumping and grinding as a pole dancer! Snowden will have you leaking state secretions!
