Single White Female (1992)

Since the erotic thrillers Blue Velvet (1986) and Fatal Attraction (1987) entranced fans and impressed critics at the end of the ’80s, it was only logical more would follow in the new decade. Indeed, 1992 marked the release of Basic Instinct starring Sharon Stone, Body of Evidence featuring Madonna, and Bitter Moon showcasing Emmanuelle Seigner. Of course, we’d be remiss not to add Single White Female (1992) to this list. Allison “Allie” Jones (Bridget Fonda) has a sprawling Manhattan apartment and, after breaking up with her boyfriend, decides she needs to spice things up with a female roommate. Allie gets that and then some in Hedra “Hedy” Carlson (Jennifer Jason Leigh). In other words, Hedy is a real head case! Yes, Ms. Leigh is so fond of Ms. Fonda, her crazed character proceeds to steal her roomie’s clothing, haircut, and man! You’ll have your pick of pulling material here, with both leading ladies repeatedly flashing their bare breasts. Throughout the course of the story, Bridget displays her naked T&A. Not to be outdone, Jennifer bobbles her nude boobs in the bath. If that’s not titillating enough, the sexy brunette reveals her rack and rug when she poses as Allie in bed. The sexual tension is so thick you can cut it with a knife — and she does! Perhaps that’s why the pic spawned the direct-to-video sequel Single White Female 2: The Psycho (2005) starring brainy babe Brooke Burns. Obviously, Mr. Skin is waiting with mastur-bated breath for Single White Female 3!
