Funny!” That’s the (very appropriate) tagline of Oskar Röhler’s psychological drama Silvester Countdown (1997), which centers on the ill-fated liaison between Romeo (Rolf Peter Kahl) and Julia (Marie Zielcke). They are a young and trendy Berlin couple that is only kept together by their appreciation for kinky sex.
