Set in Italy during the 1940s, Sanguepazzo (2008) tells the story of the romance of cocaine-addicted movie star Osvaldo Valenti (Luca Zingaretti) and beautiful extra Luisa Manfrini (Monica Bellucci) set against the backdrop of the last days of Mussolini’s fascist regime. Sanguepazzo means “wild blood” but you’ll be getting “wild wood” when you check out Monica’s mams and her lesbo love-fest.
