Sanctuary (2023)

Kiyoshi Oze (Ichinose Wataru), known as Enno, was a petty thief trying to scrape together enough cash to move away from his sick father and call-girl mother. After much resistance, he gets recruited to become a sumo wrestler and train at the Ensho Stable, but after six months, he’s still struggling. We get an in-depth look at the centuries-old sport through the story of him, his fellow wrestlers, and a journalist (Shiori Kutsuna) who thinks while the world of sumo is too harsh on its athletes, she derides the antiquated idea that women shouldn’t be allowed to participate. But it’s Rio Teramoto’s big bouncy boobs (barely contained by her clothes) that we want to take refuge in!
