Spy/Master (2023)

Set in 1978, this Cold War drama series focuses on a fictional double agent named Victor Godeanu (Alec Secăreanu), a KGB mole serving as the right hand man to Romanian dictator Nicolae Ceaușescu (Claudiu Bleonț). The same week stolen info from both the US and Russia escalates international tensions, compromising photographs of Godeanu surface and his position is threatened. Fearing he’s about to be discovered, Godeanu travels to the U.S. Embassy in Bonn, West Germany to try and defect to the United States, but his escape is delayed due to President Carter’s peace talks between Egypt and Israel. Complicating things even more is Ingrid (Svenja Jung), the sexy East German Stasi agent the married spy reconnects with - in the bedroom!
