S.F.W. (1994)

O.M.G., we think S.F.W. (1994) is T.D.F.! Jefery Levy’ R-rated pic takes on the cult of celebrity — so, it’s only fair it should be reviewed here on the Internet’s premiere site for celebrity skin. Even though the film was dissed by critics, Mr. Skin enjoys the movie’s nudity. Based on a novel by Andrew Wellman, the dramedy stars Stephen Dorff as Cliff Spab, a wise-mouthed slacker who is held hostage during a convenience store holdup. Since the situation lasts more than a month (or until the beer runs out) and is televised daily thanks to surveillance cameras, Cliff gains momentary fame. Luckily, he can share the experience with his buddy Joe Dice (Jack Noseworthy) and a girl they met named Wendy Pfister (Reese Witherspoon). Wendy is a beautiful blonde but just a teen so it’s a good thing that of-age babes are included in the cast of characters. For example, there’s the squeaky-voiced Monica Dice (Joey Lauren Adams) who reveals her nips just 30 minutes into the flick — emphasis on flick! Not to be outdone, the stoned and stunning Sandy Hooten (Melissa Lechner) shows off her gams and panties when she’s carried into a tub at the 46-minute mark. Wait another 10 minutes and you can see Ms. Lechner’s bare chest when she drops her towel. The movie also includes Amber Benson, Pamela Gidley, and Tobey Maguire. B.T.W., S.F.W. stands for “So Fucking What” but when we imagine the sexy starlets in this indie flick, we think “So Fucking Wet!”
