Mr. Skin thinks it’s pretty cool that the gorgeous Renee Tenison comes from a state known for growing potatoes, because spuds are the last thing on his mind when it comes to this beautiful woman. Renee had the honor of earning Playboy magazine’s Playmate of the Year title in 1990, making her the very first African-American to wear that crown. She started her Playboy career when a boyfriend sent in pix of her; the men’s magazine was very interested, and flew the 18-year old to Chicago for a test shoot, eventually naming her Miss November 1989 with a centerfold. And here’s where Mr. Skin would be remiss if he didn’t mention there are two versions of this gorgeous face and bod wandering around—Renee has a twin sister named Rosie who looks just like her. Hugh Hefner knew about Renee’s twin, and repeatedly asked the duo to pose together in his magazine. He finally bribed them by presenting two airplane tickets, promising he would send them anywhere in the world if he could photograph them in buff while they were there. They chose Cuba, where Playboy had never been before, and their pictorial was published in the August 2002 issue.
