Hollywood punk priestess Pleasant Gehman is an accomplished singer, songwriter, journalist, poet, photographer, and possessor of a pair of more-than-pleasant chest treasures whose bounty and buoyancy are rendered all the more astonishing—especially given their L.A. pedigree—for being naturally grown. One of the original art urchins to arise from the Southern California early-1980s punk onslaught, Pleasant has since expanded her accomplishments to include stints as a belly dancer (even releasing a series of instructional DVDs under the name Princess Farhana), burlesque performer (she founded the Velvet Hammer burlesque troupe), and movie actress. Aside from writing and appearing in The Runnin' Kind (1989), Struck (2009) and The Casserole Club (2012), Pleasant most skin-cerely appeals to Mr. Skin in the enjoyably tawdry neo-noir Shadow Hours (2000), where her character name—Lingerie Woman—promises poetry in motion, and Pleasant most definitely delivers.
