Piety (2022)

A mother’s smothering love for her son is told in tandem with the story of a family trying to flee North career just after the death of Kim Jong-il in this Spanish/Argentinian drama from writer/director Eduardo Casanova. The ironically named Libertad (Ángela Molina) rules over her household and fully grown adult son Mateo (Manel Llunell) in a similar dictatorial fashion, regulating his schedule, his diet, and his hygiene throughout the day before the two retire to the same bed. Her grip tightens even further when he’s diagnosed with brain cancer despite his best attempts to break free from her suffocating love. You’ll revere the skinsational close up of Ángela’s ample boob before a shocking CGI birth and Ana Polvorosa’s tasty pink taco, followed by Ana’s boobs and butt during a sex scene. Even Soledad Osorio gets in on the nude action when she tries to leave a building completely in the buff!
