Something Is About to Happen (2023)

An adaptation of the Juan José Millás novel Que nadie duerma, this Spanish film follows Lucía (Malena Alterio), a forty-year-old IT worker at a dental clinic who gets fired, and instead of finding a new corporate job, decides to drive a taxi around Madrid. She ends up making a brief romantic connection with her opera-loving neighbor Braulio (Rodrigo Poisón) right before he disappears, so the lovelorn Lucía spends most of the time in her cab hoping to find him again and meeting all sorts of people, all the while struggling to care for her father. But when does the nudity happen? Just over forty-eight minutes in is when we first catch a glimpse of Malena’s mams, then we get another flash of funbag about thirty minutes later. But Malena’s best nude scene is during the film’s climax. She bares her bush while getting eaten out and then is immediately seen topless in bed taking a man for a wild ride. Something is about to happen, all right - in your pants!
