Girls just want to have fun, and let's give the fair-haired, cloven gender the chance to play around and be happy in front of and behind the camera. Brunette, empowered and determined to have the last laugh, Anais Granofsky is the writer, the director and the butt-baring star of On Their Knees (2001). Enlisting Ingrid Veninger as her equally adventurous and fun-dedicated half-sister, Anais launches upon a good-time road movie with a moral twist. The giggly pair of girlie siblings buy an ice-cream truck, steal the body of their recently deceased grandmother and transport the biddy’s corpse to a final resting place closer to home. Humor with a moral.
