In honor of the thirty-fifth anniversary of the release of the original Total Recall, we’re celebrating with a look at the nudity from the 1990 sci-fi classic - and also from other films set in the distant, or not-to-distant, future.
While no one goes totally nude in Total Recall, the skin is iconic for two reasons: first, it was one of the first sizable roles for star Sharon Stone, who would go on to deliver some of the most talked about nudity of all time in Basic Instinct only a few years later. Before Sharon famously flashed her crotch on camera, her sexy stones slipped out of her nighty several times while in bed with Arnold Schwarzenegger.

Secondly, if there’s one scene from the film that everyone recalls, it’s Lycia Naff and the reveal of her three breasts. Though prosthetic, Lycia’s terrific trio are some of the most memorable mams of the decade, and the 2012 remake with Colin Farrell made sure to include its own version of this spectacular rack with Kaitlyn Wong. If any effects deserve to be called special, it’s these babies!

Both films painted us a future with 50% more bare boobage and and now we’re stuck wondering where it all went wrong. It also got us thinking about all the other films that made it seem like the years ahead would be filled with phenomenal flesh. Another prime example is the originalBlade Runner, which told us that 2019 would be filled with the hooters of humans and replicants alike. That didn’t happen but, if the sequel is any indication, 2049 will have even much larger scale nudity out and about, so maybe we just have to hold on until then.
